How much money do you manage?
Currently, we manage approximately $2.5 billion. We are in
the enviable position of being large enough to afford and
demand the resources and attention of Wall Street yet small
enough to make decisions quickly and not move markets when
we trade.
How are the assets you manage split between types of clients?
Approximately 50% of the money we supervise is for taxable High Net Worth individuals and 50% is for tax-free institutions such as pension, profit sharing, foundations and endowments. We enjoy the balance and diversity of clients in our business.
Who would manage my portfolio?
Our team of seasoned investment professionals manage client
assets. The investment management team includes Jim Reed,
Donn Conner, Jim Birdwell, Jeff Bronchick, Victor Hawley,
Jim Henderson, Tom Kerr, Brett Cicinelli, Geoff Stewart,
Bill Cram and Sean Thorpe.

How often do you meet with clients?
We meet as often as clients desire. At these meetings, we
review goals and objectives, performance, recent security
changes, our outlook on the economy and stock market, and
answer questions.
How often do I receive statements from Reed, Conner & Birdwell?
We provide comprehensive statements either quarterly or monthly, depending on the client's wishes. Statements report number of shares, cost, current market value, income, percent of portfolio, and unrealized gain or loss. In addition, securities are grouped by broad industry classification.
What is the turnover of most accounts?
We are relatively long-term investors with a time horizon
of a couple of years. We are very conscious of our clients'
tax issues. Typical turnover of established accounts is 20-30%
per year.
What is your minimum account size for separate management?
Our published minimum account size is $5 million. We also
sub-advise the CNI Charter RCB Small Cap Value Fund, available
for accounts which do not meet this minimum but exceed $25,000.
Please go to the CNI Charter RCB Small Cap Value Fund page
on this website for further information.
